Dev Diary #135 - Last Week, In Summary 31: Mechanics Update

Hello and welcome to this weeks dev diary!

As some of you know, I though about moving onto a semi-weekly release schedule for the dev diaries to make more time for the game development in general. After last few weeks releasing a dev diary every second week, I came to a conclusion, that until there is more to show or more details to be revealed, it have felt it to be a better option to release dev diaries less often for the time being. Once there is more to be revealed on actual implementations and ideas behind the game in a more detailed and explanatory manner, the dev diaries will be paced up once again.

Here is the short list on what has been happening for the past two weeks;

  • Re-wrote several game mechanics on paper, based on the improvements that were mentioned (with no precise reveals) in an earlier dev diary.
  • Further researched on how to implement huge game worlds with as little effort as possible (still more research needed)
  • Re-planned and simplified the basic logic behind the actual game code.
