I varied the styles of the two final cuts in that John Hattan's interview uses titles to pose the questions while Drew's interview actually has me off-camera verbally asking the questions (which is what I did with John, but I edited it out). Please give feedback as to which approach you prefer.

Next update: Sande Chen and Michelle Sorger of Girls in Games!

PS: Pester Dave, Kevin, Wavinator, Adventuredesign, David Michael and just about everybody else to find me so I can get their perspectives!

I personally like the style with you saying the questions rather than using text.

I was actually going to say the opposite, but I suppose that doesn't help you!

I like both. But I prefer voice.

First up, good job with the interviews, and your coverage of the event so far.

On the style of the video interviews, I was expecting to prefer the version where we hear the questions, but I think I prefer the version with the text for this kind of interview. It breaks up the interview into sections, which I think I actually prefer in this case. If it was more of a technical discussion where one thing is being showcased or discussed all through, I'd prefer it to be kept intact, but for these more general interviews, I think the style with the text works well. It also allows you to rearrange questions later on, cut things, and do things over again, without sudden cutovers like there was in the middle of the interview with Drew.

Scrap what I said. I prefer the style you used in the girls in games interview.

For interviews with external entities, I'll pretty much be using the Girls in Games interview style. For GDC member and affiliate profiles, though, I'll be using something much less intensive. Keeping the video intact has the benefit of quick turnaround (editing Dave and Kevin's interviews took maybe five minutes apiece), but the downside that interruptions - Drew got a persistent phone call in the middle of our interview - are extremely noticeable.

Ironically, John Hattan's interview - like most others - went off without a hitch.
