This is one of a number of notes I had been taking over the last two to three days but had not made time to upload to the journal. Some of them are directly related to the GDC, which is our current "power showing" event. Some of them are peripherally related to game development, the GDNet community or my attendance at the GDC.



The city is beautiful. There's no other way to describe it. Art took me on a but of a tour on the way in, and it felt wonderful to actually see, smell, touch, stand on these socio-cultural monuments: The Golden Gate Bridge, The Bay Bridge... We passed pretty close to Alcatraz on the ferry in this morning (Art lives across the Bay, in Sausalito). Over the course of the week and the conference, I'll be looking to provide that sort of bonus contextual coverage, so keep your eyes open - and check out my "tourist" pictures!
