Hey all, I am looking for a synthesizer for Dark Omen Studios audio man, and we are having a hard time locating some. We''d appreciate it if you could give us some software titles. We don''t mind if it is shareware, freeware, or commerical. Thankyou, Michael Bartman

Try noise station from my website. version 1.20 is available very reliable and inexpensive with a fuinctional demo. Version 2 exists too but this is very high spec and expensive aimed at music professionals (I wrote it to emulate hardware like protools and has some high end DSP algorithms).

there are tons of freeware synths too

imho best way to go about it is to find a freeware sequencer host that supports vsti format instruments.. i find massiva is simple and well organised but you should be able to find dozens of options. try www.kvr-vst.com - you can find thousands of freeware synthesizers.. ones on my homepage made with synthedit (which is a host but rudimentary sequencing)

i''m looking for people who want free sounds if you don''t enjoy doing your own.

Thankyou AP!

My sound man and I will look into that. We may be interested in hearing some of your sounds as well.

ps these forums bug out on me a lot, as in they don''t work properly, and I get 404 and 500 errors etc quite often. It is only on GDNet as well.

1 word... Cubasis. it is amazing. if u want free and amazing but not as good go to http://renoise.com. This is a great tracker but it''s only beta so many fuctions have yet to be implented. Cubasis is a proggy my dad bought for me and costs about $170 Canadian if ya get it at a good store. u need a great soundcard and i''d suggest 80 gig drive.

if you use the german-language version of www.steinberg.de (the cubase/cubasis website) you can find a button link to ''inwire,'' which is a full version of cubasis for free, with ''save project'' disabled so you have to do it all at once or dump audio. personally i think cubase is a pain in the ass (prefer logic) but a lot of people like it.

there are other free apps that will outperform cubasis.. more vsti tracks at once et al.
