I have been visiting this forum a lot lately, mainly because I love hearing the music that some of you guys create, even though I don''t have the ability to create it myself. Recently however, people have been less frequently giving links to their music, so I want to ask a general question: Is there a website on the internet that is just a huge resource for video game type music? Now when I mean video game music, I don''t mean something like the theme to Super Mario Bros. I''m referring to quality music, like that from Hitman II, Final Fantasy VII, and other classic videogames. Something that falls into the electronic/techno moody music, as well as orchestral. If any of you guys could give me a link to a site or multiple sites with this kind of music, I would really appreciate. Thanks for taking the time to read this far, --BioX

You can find a lot of samples of such author''s works on their web sites.
Any other resource would probably be against the rules of the forum to provide you with, aside from licesned internet radio stations.

music 4 games sells and reviews game music (although I did send them a copy of my soundtrack and all they did was send a ''thanks for the free cd, we''ve changed our minds about reviewing it'' email).

Here is my music website if you want a few free tunes to listen to.

I''ll be sorting my site out as soon as my domain and host have sorted things out for me, i''ll post a link when its done...

BTW, the music 4 games link is: http://www.music4games.net/ They also have some downloadable MP3s
www.rhythm-attic.tk
Ok, that does help. I guess I''ll just have to look for personal websites of people''s work. Music4GAmes is a good resource, but they don''t seem to give many songs for free, I have to buy their cds. Anyway, thanks a lot for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

Here are two sites of two great composers of mainly orchestral music:

http://www.michaelgiacchino.com/
http://www.lenniemoore.com/
My site is at...

http://zack.avalanchestudios.net/music.htm

I don''t have too many links on that page because I''m too lazy to type it all out, and I only have about 50mb of space to use, so I can''t upload too many mp3s.

My Music((a small portion anyways))
Check out www.vgmidi.com . It used to be a giant resource, but now it''s forum based and authors often post their music in various formats (mp3). They even post unfinished work for feedback. This site has recently become a favorite of mine.

If you like FFVII, then search on yahoo or mp3.com for Fantasy Reborn. This guy does piano renditions of all Final Fantasy games and it''s amazing.

I am a programmer/musician so I will be posting some of my game music up when I get time.
My friend's site (which I helped create): GMR Online. Not exactly what you're looking for, but you might like it anyway.
