no FD_READ event???

hello again! my server sends data to my client - but no data reaches the client the only events i get on my client are in order one FD_CONNECT one FD_WRITE one FD_CLOSE and thats all...no FD_READ ... why?? my WSAAsyncselect includes FD_READ | FD_WRITE and so on did anybody know? thanks for all elmo
