Hi Gamers ! I''m working on a research document and I need to analyse great gameplays related to new technologies (ex : in Wolfenstein (the new one , you can shot down a stone wall with a heavy machin gun and then shoot at enemies through the hole you''ve just made !). As I have so little time, I haven''t play ALL the last blockbusters. Please, would you help in this "research" work ? Actually, I need a brief description of the gameplay and the name of the game (and the level where the player encounter this gameplay). Please, call on your memory and tell me about your last game emotions... Thanx La Barrron

(Please do not kick my donkey / burro !!! :0)

What do you mean, do you mean just new things that have been done recently in games which were fun to play?
Yep ! I guess I could have say that that way ! Thanks for summing it up !
But I''m not looking for fun gameplays in relation with the new graphics and physics technologies (procedural animation, blending, bump mapping, multi-texturing, mirroring, non-convex objects, complex collisions, etc.)

The cool zooming, rotating control scheme in homeworld that seemed to work flawlessly in a 3D game.

The blending of RPG and Shooter in games like deus ex and system shock 2

as for features that I want in a game:

dynamic skeleton based animation (as to be implemented in Team Fortress 2)

shooting out any wall or door in any part of the game, also governed by phsysics to check for stress etc. will be used to some extent (without phsysics) in Red Faction and Freedom Ridge.

Consider yourself blessed.
