New design toy

This weekend I realized that I needed better organization of my design ideas (after filling yet another notebook). So I looked around for a decent proggy. I found The Literary Machine. It''s an associative database that stores text and pics. And it''s free. You can jot long notes about the thought of the moment and then link it to concepts, which are then linked to other notes. You build a small network of ideas that all link together. I remember Dwarfsoft asking a while back about scripting a non-linear plot and I''m thinking this could help there. Of course, this is a small proggy and only designed for one person at a time. And it''s aimed at writers, so no fancy text. But it seems ideal for capturing the first creative efforts where you''re tossing around ideas. And the price is right (free).
