I''m working with an outside music guy for the first time, and I need a contract for him. Can anyone point me to a model contract somewhere that I could adapt?

Much better still a trip to you lawyer/solicitor. The issue of ownership, copyright, moral rights etc etc is complex and one that you need to sort out properly and in-advance. There are many places you can save cash but contracts isn''t one of them.
