MaxScript (3D Studio Max 4): Finding Triangle Strips
Hello everybody,
At the moment I am working on a 3D Studio Max 4 Script that is able to export models into our special engine format.
The method is quite simple: I convert the active selection
into an Editable_Mesh an write then the X-, Y- and Z-coordinate of every vertex into an ASCII File.
The problem: Sometimes 3DS Max uses Triangle Strips and sometimes it prefers to use Triangle Lists. How can I find out, what method is used for each vertex? Or do you know a method how to convert everything into triangle lists?
