This is AI related, as it is about a research project at Stanford University. It is called The Virtual Theater Project. Anyway, I found it kind of interesting. The reason I posted it here is it really focuses on story, theater, and directing. The project seeks to provide an environment where a writer, director or whatever can interact with automated actors or other automated production type agents to produce drama. As an example, knowledge rich automated agents are being developed to stay in character, yet improvise in a given situation. If you click into the Productions subsection, some of the more interesting projects appeared to be the CyberCafe and the Forest Sauvage. There's plenty of postscript articles there if anyone is interested. Edited by - bishop_pass on June 19, 2001 12:19:01 AM
