Help in modeling ramps and curves!

Good night, all right?
Well, I'm new to 3D modeling for games and I'm also new here in the forum. I have a question ... I'm starting to model a terrain for a game I'm developing the Roll-a-Ball style, but would like to know how can I model ramps and curves, as in the photo below?

I'm modeling all the ground where the ball will move from lines in 3D Studio Max, and then apply the Shell modifier to give the extrude formed in what I want, but it is very difficult to do this with ramps and curves.
Thank you so much!

I can't tell you the way to approach this in max, but in blender I would do it this way:

1. create a cylinder

2. half it (throw other half away)

3. extrude surface to apply a thickness

4. build a simple cage (subdivided cube,rect).

5. use the lattice modifier to form the curves.

I think, that max will have similar tools/modifiers. Best to google for an useful mapping.
