Japanese Battleship Yamato Simulator - Indiegogo

Hi. My name is Arkadiusz Nowak (Novac Studio - 2 team members).

The Yamato is a three-dimensional simulation of the naval operation "Ten-g?". It was the last significant action of Imperial Japanese Navy in the World War II, directed against the American fleet protected the troops landing in the April 1945's Battle of Okinawa.

The game presents the kamikaze mission of the largest battleship every built in the history of naval warfare, IJN Yamato, giving you the opportunity to reverse the history of her tragic end. Both the Yamato itself and the remaining Japanese fleet are simulated with full tactical and economical fidelity, right at the player’s fingertips.

You can command the whole squadron, or just a single ship. You can become a commander, an artilleryman, or a private navy man. You can visit inside of the ship, take control of every artillery post – from the primary guns to the anti-aircraft flaks - supervise the ship's ballasting in response to the incoming damage, or even tweak the dynamic system of armoured plates and bulkheads.

Today we officially start our indiegogo campaign.

What is the gameplay like? Is it controlling the ships in ship-to-ship combat, or do you leave the Yamato and fight on foot in Okinawa? (I noticed in the video you were in first-person mode, pacing onboard the ship and climbing up ladders)

Is the goal to crash the ship on the beach and fight from the shore, or do you intend to fight at sea contrary to IJN orders?

Yes. Primary aspect of the game is the naval combat ship-to-ship.This is not Okinawa, this is Kure (before an exit in the sea). First-person mode is one of many modes available in the game (Seaman Mode).
