I am trying to explore the VR universe now and I own an iPhone. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to find any good content on the App Store..

Comparing with Android solutions I didn't find anything that was worth my attention..

However, I stumbled upon this video on reddit:

Do you think it could be a viable solution for iOS?

Do you think that it could be a good solution for those who want to develop good VR content for iphone?

Until Apple have a 'standard' on what should be used controller wise for iPhone VR experiences, you won't know what a user may or may not have to developer VR content beyond just the phone itself.
