Looking For a Project

Hi, I'm a professional web developer and I graduated with a BS in CS last March. I helped write quests and create levels for MUDs a long time ago for many years. I'd like to do something similar to this again but, with more modern technology. I'm looking to become hooked on something. I'm also looking to improve my skill set.

What I'd Like to Work With

  • PHP - or something similar
  • quest writing
  • mob programs, quest programs, fight programs
  • HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/Wordpress - I can do these things
  • Javascript/Jquery - I can do this at a basic level
  • Doing things that make green blips on GitHub

I just need some fun. Recruit me for something part time and fun. I like survival games, crafting games, games with too much economy and resource gathering and city building games.

Being familiar with any modern 3d engine is pretty important, if you already have programming experience it should be easy to jump into the basics of any engine and customize things to your liking. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with UE4 / Unity or maybe Amazons new Lumberyard?

Well the skillset you got. you would have a advantage with visual novels or adventure games. Engines that are specialised.

Altough i am personally still searching for more talent for my own project. unsure if a visual novel simulator is up your alley

I've never seen a visual novel simulator. Is it what it sounds like? Like an interactive book? What is it?

None

It's a interactive book. usally a mix of text andd images.

this is an example

stein's gate is another one. and one could argue that ace attorney is borrowing heavily from this genre.

switch has alot of games that are visual novels. the branching structure is similare to a mud adventure in some ways.
