I'm still new to game dev and I am making a fast-paced platformer and I am stumped on how to add jump physics into my game?

2D, and in that case, sorry if this is coming of as rude; have you googled it?

There are hundreds of takes on building simple 2D platformers.

Don't know about Unity specifically but you can just give your character some upward velocity and have it decrease by gravity every time step. If you are moving forward at the same time it will give you a nice parabola. It's actually quite easy even in 3D.
