Fast update a texture part

Hi All

For every preview frame I must draw 2 small rectangles with text (current frame and fps) on a whole window static image (foreground). I use QOpenGLTexture, it calls glTextSubImage2D

Profiler shows it works slow enough. I've read recommendations to use faster PBO or FBO but have no idea “how”. Can you please suggest a good example?
