Hello,
So I run a little indie thing, and I've been thinking of going back to school.
I got the money, and the time, that is not the issue, but I have a BA in psychology.
I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to go to a community college and take some business and economics classes?
Get a certificate or something .
I was originally going to be a management minor at university but back then I had mental health issues, and it was hard.
That's all dealt with now, so I'm wondering what should I do education wise to bolster my knowledge?
I've also been thinking of pursuing a masters, in one of 2 fields.
- Cyber psychology- psychology applied to the internet and how people use technology
- I/O Organizational industrial psychology - psychology applied to business and human resources.
I'm not quite sure what I wan to do, And I'm not quite sure what will help me in the long run.
Furthermore, I found a few people on linkedin with these masters and they are still struggling to find jobs in the respective industries.
I looked into games degrees too,, and most of them are game design, not much in production and management
I've also had a few people on linkedin hound me about pmp certifications and the like, they are like $800- $1000, which imo is too high for what they say they offer, and they are all like, we guarantee you will get jobs and perform better at your job, which sounds suspect to me.
Any thoughts would be appreciated .
