what language should I learn for game development and how would I learn it?

I've been wanting to make games for quite some time but I never really got the chance to actually learn how to do it. so now I want to start my journey and learn how to code and hopefully create what's on my mind. what would you suggest I start with as someone who has no experience and what's the best way to learn it?
