A moderator criticised me implying "I broke the forum's rules" yet I cannot find said rules anywhere

So a moderator criticised me “for as he said necroing a post that was months old" yet there seem to be no posting rules pinned anywhere. If there are rules that I broke than I can understand why the post was locked, but I couldn't find posting rules anywhere.Harshly pinning down on someone “for breaking rules” if that person cannot be reasonably expected to have known the rules to begin with is absurd.

Several of the problems mentioned here have been addressed (not all), including topics being archived, the post button disappearing, and lack of a guidelines link.
