I mentioned this is a post elsewhere on the board, but I suppose this is the more appropriate place to do so. I've noticed a lot of people posting but forgetting to enter their user name and password. I've done so myself several times. I would like to see a java-script routine that simply checks to see if the username and password fields are blank and if so, send the user a message giving them a chance to cancel and enter their user name and password. It maybe a small inconvience for those Anonymous people, but I would really appreciate the reminder. Josh http://www.jh-software.com Edited by - Josh on 3/2/00 2:51:55 PM

Why just not login in the www.gamedev.net/gamedev.asp ?? Then your username and password will stay in memory for that time you''re on the net.
My username and password are always already entered for me. Good thing too because I don''t think I remember my password!

I often browse the gamedev.net site at school where cookies only last until you log off and I don''t really remember to log in on the main page.

The java-script to do what I would like would not be difficult to write, and I''m sure it would save a lot of people from forgetting their username and password.

Anyway, it''s only a suggestion

This has been suggested before; I think it''s a good idea. We''ll add it shortly.
