With the move to UC Berkeley, the new classes, new people, and my terrible CS61A (Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs) class I haven't had much of a desire to program at all. From that, I haven't had much of a desire to visit programming forums like GD.

Hopefully this will change somewhat. I have a large project planned for my website - I want to create a modular CMS system in PHP. One of the main parts that I would like to create is a blog that allows for user comments (both anonymous users and members) so that I can replace my clunky edited-by-hand system I have now. I've been toying with the idea for several months now and have written several design documents but I haven't done much to implement it. [sad]

I'm trying to motivate myself by simply refusing to post to my site before I have created this new system. Perhaps I'll now use this journal to record my progress in this project...
