Well the first level is the least interesting since you just get one unit- probably mission4 is the most interesting.
And in 5 months, making a feature-complete game of any kind that challenges the genre is a bit unlikely...

Yeah I'd probably be pissed too if someone just played the tutorial (of A Violent World) and said it didn't have exciting gameplay, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. :)

I agree about remaking the RTS genre. Most RTSs that come out these days are more or less identical, and it's even harder for a gamedev entry. Ours is quite different, but there's no chance it could ever go commercial. The whole idea is just too.. simple, or something. I think we made a fun and cool game, but I'd never pay for it. ;)

39, Warscale - Looked very nice on the screenshots, but I couldn't find any to play with, so don't know how the gameplay is.

Hi,
Warscale is multiplayer only, so you need to wait till other guy joins you into a game so you can start... or you can log again from other PC.

Server will be down from Thursday (10am to 12am) (-5GMT). In this time we will be adding new accounts for the upcoming alpha testing.

Luck!
Guimo

Server is up again. Two new test accounts have been added to the list. You can now log as (login/pass):
4e4a / 4e4a
4e4b / 4e4b
Cyrus / Cyrus
Dago / Dago
Alara / Alara
Lakin / Lakin

We will try to be there in order to guide you during your games.

Luck!
Guimo

Great. I finally logged into Warscale at the same time as someone else, I made a game, and it immediately crashed.

How? Crashed blue screen? Crashed nothing moved? Crashed with black screen? Would you help us find the bug... here it works fine.

I'd say Morning's Wrath.

Reasons?

1. It's a commercial MMORPG.
2. It's good.
3. It gives people something to look up to.

Just to clarify =D

Morning's Wrath is an Adventure/RPG (single player)

And it's not in the 4E4 contest, but was developed in close contact with the GDNet communuity.

Also, 4 copies of Morning's Wrath have been donated as prizes for the 4E4

Would you tell me something about your video hardware? Chipset, memory... we have tested from VS1.1 to above.

Hmm, I got an error message, which disappeared as I hit enter to do something else, so I have no idea what it was. I'm running a pretty standard Dell XPS Gen 2.

//edit. Alright - hope it's on my end [smile]. I probably won't be on again tonight, but I'll try more tomorrow.
